January 22–Activities Ministry

We invite you to join our MCC Activities Ministry.  This ministry plans activities for you, the MCC family, and as outreach opportunities for those in our community.  The ministry will meet January 22 at 5 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  We would love to have your help and input into activities for our church family.

February 4–LICS Thrift Store

Every first Saturday, Midlands Christian staffs the Thrift Store at Lexington Interfaith Community Services from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m..   LICS does have some paid staff but relies mainly on volunteers.    A day at LICS may include running the register, straightening shelves, sorting donated merchandise, filling the shelves and clothes racks.    If you are interested in helping, please sign up in the foyer.

February 5–Souper Bowl Sunday

In 2011, more than 260,000 youth participated in Souper Bowl of Caring, collecting more than $9.5 million in dollars and food for local hunger-relief charities.

Be part of this movement that is sharing God’s love with those in need.  On Super Bowl Sunday, MCC will be collecting canned food items and accepting a special offering in support of the Souper Bowl of Caring.  Every dollar donated and every canned food item will go to LICS, Lexington Interfaith Community Services.

February 11–The ‘Not So’ Newlywed Game

Come join the fun with our MCC family on Saturday, February 11, for an evening of Chili & Soup at 6 p.m. followed by The “Not-So” Newlywed Game and then a time of dessert.  Come enjoy this great fellowship time where we get to laugh with our “Not-So” Newlywed couples.  See the worship folder for more info or call the church office.
